LOL moment: User asks Blizzard to recover lost purchased WoW gold |

Sorry, but this is just plain hilarious and we revel at its LOL-ness. Over at the official community site of World of Warcraft (WoW), user Poirier (who likes to call himself Dude of the Horde, mind you) reported that he lost some gold that he, read this, bought. And the most amusing thing here is that he's even asking Blizzard to help him recover the gold. Actually, that's not the most amusing thing. We lied. Accordingly, the "dude of the Horde" contacted the gold seller to inquire about the missing gold.
What the gold seller (who's name and company was removed from the post) said was he did send the item but it was somehow lost in the mail system. The gold seller suggested Poirier to contact Blizzard about the matter.
Seriously now, the user didn't get any reply from Blizzard or its forum moderators because this very thing is enshrined in the contract every player sign before making an account. Part of Ownership/Selling of the Account or Virtual Items states,
Blizzard does not recognize any virtual property transfers executed outside of the Game or the purported sale, gift or trade in the "real world" of anything related to the Game. Accordingly, you may not sell items for "real" money or otherwise exchange items for value outside of the Game.
There. Let this be a lesson to all of you who are planning to buy gold in the future. Of course, we can't stop you from doing so but please don't contact Blizzard about matters of this nature because it's busy with more important things.
