Lineage II free expansion Interlude available now |
Ó
In the past few weeks, we've already discussed some of Interlude's new features, but probably one of the more interesting ones is the opening of the Primeval Isle. The new location will require players to stick to their strategy and teamwork to be able to subdue the isle's creatures such as Wild Striders, Pachycephalosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus rex.
Also, mid-level players and those on top of the Lineage II food chain have been granted access to more than 150 new bonuses so that they can enhance and customize their weapons further. Starting players are not exactly left out because NCSoft has activated the Shadow Weapons feature. In layman's terms, it's a "try before you buy" service.
For those who like to go solo, though, ake note that there's a new dueling system implemented in Interlude. The good thing about this is that it doesn't give out penalties whenever your character loses a battle. This can be used on one-on-one fights or party-versus-party battles. Lineage II North American Producer Adam Davidson offered his two cents',
I'm very excited about what Interlude offers. It introduces elements of the game's next evolution, The Chaotic Throne, as well as unleashing dinosaurs. Who doesn't like taking on a T-Rex? Interlude also demonstrates the open-ended nature of Lineage II and shows off NCSoft's ability to deliver features that give the game its signature depth and never-ending challenges.
Lineage II: Interlude is available for free to all current subscribers.

Nice new features - but the thing that really needs to be fixed in this game instead of adding new stuff is to nerf the *obscenely* huge grind in this game.
L2 is dying - not because ppl don't like it - it's because they simply want to have a life too. Personally, my level 70 chars are waiting to rejoin the game some day when it's possible to level a char in the 70-80 range without sucking away 1-2 months of your life to get there. (this is from the perspective of someone who works 8-10 hours a day and isn't in college... no time to play 6-12 hours each day folks!)
1-2 months per level I mean... ^^
