World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King - Death Knight - Image 1 While we're still waiting for an ETA for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, curious players inquire about the announced additions in the new expansion. We found a good question in the WoW Forums, this time regarding the new hero class, the Death Knight.

Kifle from Scarlet Crusade wanted to know if Death Knight characters will be able to choose between fighting for Horde or Alliance. The player also asked whether the Death Knight is transferable in between realms. Blizzard poster Nethaera was on hand to answer the questions, though she wasn't really able to offer any new information at the moment (Wrath of the Lich King IS a work in progress.)

The poster indicated that they don't have the specifics for the Death Knight as of yet: no timeline, no limitations, no classes that will be able to play as Death Knights... you get the picture. Nethaera did mention though that they will release the info once it becomes available.

Good enough? We'll keep our eyes peeled for that so stay tuned for more Wrath of the Lich King news and updates.

The DK will most probably be bound to the char that created him thus moving the char will move the DK.

" no classes that will be able to play as Death Knights..."

Any player unlocks a death knight through questing... and creates a new death knight. The old character is still available for play and does not change.

I meant that there were no specifics regarding what races can play a Death Knight
