Guild Wars State of the Game: of GvG frontline warriors |
Ó
Now that NCsoft's MMORPG Guild Wars has countless of options for players who prefer PvP over battling monsters, Guild versus Guild (GvG) is still the best choice for those who are in the game for tight competition. In the latest issue of Guild Wars State of the Game, the focus is just on frontline synergy alone yet it's already complex enough to get newbies confused. The frontline is usually composed of two warriors, and as the author of this State of the Game pointed out, play style of the two shouldn't be too distinct from each other. It's important for two people to know what the other can or cannot do so they can be more efficient by playing their strengths and complimenting their weaknesses.
Communication between the warriors is also crucial to the team, especially when they find a vulnerable target to spike. A seasoned guild is expected to have strong defenses, and only through organized knockdowns and coordinated attacks can any team hope to make progress against the experienced.
To make versatile warriors that can deal damage and pound enemies to the ground, the State of the Game suggests Bull's Strike and Shock as primary knockdown skills. These two are almost staples to warrior elementalists wielding axes for high damage potential and the ability to disable at the same time.
