Guild Wars' Nightfall World Preview Event a big hit |
Ó
Things are looking peachy for the MMORPG Guild Wars Nightfall. Why is that? Well aside from the fact that the game has been doing really great, the folks at ArenaNet recently scored a hit as the Nightfall World Preview Event was a huge success. In the recently concluded promotional event, half a million players from all walks of life participated. Allegedly, every player averaged eight hours and 30 minutes. Grand total- 4 million hours of gameplay.
ArenaNet co-founder, Mike O'Brien, could not hide his elation with this development. He says that the positive response of gamers about the Heroes feature of Guild Wars Nightfall is overwhelming. Heroes are a new feature of Guild Wars Nightfall, they are non-player characters integral to the storyline that players can customize and control throughout the game. Momentum is definitely on ArenaNet's side, let us see if these figures and reactions could transform to sales figures come Nightfall's release on October 27.
