EverQuest II to have new forum system |
Ó
For MMO players, their respective game's official site and forums are very important. Aside from bonding with fellow gamers and using these for queries, the forums are also where a game's developer and publisher make important announcements and updates. And with that said, we'd like to inform EverQuest II players that their forums will be undergoing changes. This coming February 6, Sony will be changing the forum software. Accordingly, this is needed to be done because they want to incorporate new features. Also, the company would like to inform everyone that no official forums will be available for 48 hours during that period. In lieu of it, a single temporary bulletin board will be provided.
In case you're still wondering how this would really affect you as a player, here's a list of important information about the matter:
- The forum change will begin on Tuesday, February 6, 2007.
- There will be no official forums available at that time.
- A temporary forum will be available for you to use while the change occurs.
- During the migration, we are taking advantage of the opportunity to scale-down the size of the database so we can better consolidate and keep track of EQII-related conversations.
- Your Forum Handles and post counts will be transferred from the existing forums to the new forums.
- Your bookmarks, subscriptions, friend lists etc. will NOT transfer over to the new forums.
- If there are any specific posts that you would like to keep, save them. This includes player guides or other lists you may have created to share with the rest of the community.
