EQvault: Heraldry for dummies |
Ó
When knights did battle, they always carried a herald on their tunics.
More than just a fashion statement (walking bulls-eye), heralds were carried as a visible indicator of which bloodline the knight descended from, and under which lord's flag they fought under; the Knights Templar also used it to indicate each knight's rank.
For the rising guilds in EverQuest 2, it's all the more important to have your own custom guild emblem to give your minions...err...teammates that sense of belonging. And when you've finally become bigwigs, a reason for your enemies to run.
We figured this is what the guys over at EQvault had in mind when they recently opened up their new Guild Cloak heraldry guide section.
It lists all the Emblems, Edges and Patterns available, and we highly recommend it for guilds out to give their logo that "personal touch". Emblems are available for lvl 15 guilds, Edges for lvl 30 guilds, and Patterns for lvl 60 guilds.
