EQ2 Server Consolidation, Finally

The guys at SOE have finally answered the playerbase who has been screaming for months about the fact that there are just not enough people per server to get groups or find people to adventure with. Since the world of EverQuest 2 is so large (over 600 zones!) it can often feel like you are the only person in the whole world who is online. SOE has opened up the character transfer feature free of charge, allowing users to move their characters to another server of their choice. After this is completed, they will be merging some servers together to further increase population. The server merger schedule is as follows:

On Monday, 2/6/2006, Faydark will move into Befallen
On Tuesday, 2/7/2006, Innothule will move into Crushbone
On Wednesday, 2/8/2006, Steamfont will move into Oasis
On Thursday, 2/9/2006, Oggok will move into Blackburrow
On Friday, 2/10/2006, Neriak will move into Kithicor
On Monday, 2/13/2006, Lavastorm will move into Nektulos
On Tuesday, 2/14/2006, Grobb will move into Everfrost
On Wednesday, 2/15/2006, Highkeep will move into Butcherblock
On Thursday, 2/16/2006, Toxxulia will move into Guk
On Friday, 2/17/2006, Shadowhaven will move into The Bazaar

Additionally, the weekend of Friday 2/17 through Sunday 2/19 will be a bonus XP weekend, giving all users double XP rates while they hack and slash their way through the level grind. Overall, great news!
