The Fighting Mongooses, a World of Warcraft Arena team from Battlegroup 6 (Vengeance), have just recently been signed by Enervate Gaming, one of the top organizations in eSports. The Mongooses, who are part of a larger guild called For Great Justice from the the Mug'thol server, currently hold the number one spot in Vengeance.

The team attributes their successes to "extensive PvP experience and unparalleled level of group synergy." According to GotFrag, The Fighting Mongooses run a "blow-up" group with a frost mage, elemental shaman, and warrior for their damage. Support is provided by a paladin and a priest. GotFrag also had a chance to speak with the Mongooses' Zach "Destromo" Gebhardt. Here's his take on the Mongooses' strategy:

We really donÂ’t feel our setup is that much different than the other sponsored teams. It seems like each team runs Warrior/Priest/Paladin/Mage with the last spot being a toss up. I can say that we have grown fairly comfortable playing against teams using Power Trip's setup, as we have many teams on our Vengeance running the same.

It also seems like elemental Shaman are rather lacking in Battlegroup Bloodlust, so it will be interesting to see how they handle our shaman. It will most likely come down to that different class and how each team counters it. I can say that we greatly looking forward to playing against them.

Here's the starting roster for The Fighting Mongooses
  • Jon "Saturnine" Cresante – Undead Mage
  • Zach "Destromo" Gebhardt – Troll Shaman
  • Yan "Soulrender" Mi – Undead Priest
  • Jason "Kyna/Thraken" Rantanen – Blood Elf Palaidn
  • Mike "Korgan" Springmann – Tauren Warrior
  • Steve "Korbin" Springmann – Tauren Shaman
