IGN has just posted a movie made by SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) that features a new "pet" to liven up your house in Everquest II Echoes of Faydwer. In case you haven't been doing your reading, Everquest II will have an upcoming addon for the game, and the "pet" that the movie shows is one of the unique game features that you'll get when you purchase the retail version of the said addon.

The Clockwork Copter is a new creature straight from the Lost Continent of Faydwer, who can be programmed to perform tricks, and act as your house's entire security system. This robotic creature has helicopter-like blades on its head (hence, Clockwork Copter) and can emit laser-like beams that scans its environment for intruders. We think the most helpful thing this creature can do for you really is to act as a watch guard for your house. So if you wanna get one of these, we highly recommend that you purchase the retail version of the addon.
