CoH, CoV scheduled downtime later today, new patch to be implemented

NCsoft is sending out word that residents of twin MMORPG titles City of Heroes and City of Villains might need to find something else to do later today because a downtime will be implemented.

Take note, however, that this scheduled downtime is for a good cause. Here are NCsoft's exact words on the matter:

City of Heroes and City of Villains Servers will come down for maintenance on Tuesday, December 11 starting at 6 a.m. Pacific (9 a.m. Eastern).

This maintenance period is to upgrade the game to version 16.20071128.3T, which can currently be found on the Training Room Test Server.

Aside from that NCsoft also added that the maintenance is likely to last for around two hours. We suggest that you head on now to the test server and get yourselves familiar with the changes before they get implemented to the live servers.
