Can't get your Netherwhelp? Blizzard compensates big time |

Don't you wish every day was "Blizzard wants to please the customers with issues" day? Blizzard is making up big time for problems that European subscribers are having with their World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Collector's Edition goodies, which comes with an extra pet and some free time.
People who couldn't activate their Netherwhelp pets from the Collector's Edition were given a rather strange fix: mail your CE reference card and barcode to Blizzard and they'll implement your pet for you. The problem with that, according to their site, is a marked delay between Blizzard's acquisition of your mail and implementation of the Netherwhelp fix to your account. Up to ten days, in fact.
Well, Blizzard's saying "Sorry!" in the meantime by giving players some other kind of restitution. Once Blizzard gets your mail, they'll compensate players for the trouble with a second pet: Lurky the Murloc. He's pretty much like the other Murloc pets given out at different events, but it's nice to know they're taking the time to please petless fans of the game. Even better is their announcement of extra credit. In addition to getting Lurky, inconvenienced players will be credited with two extra days of playing time.
For the hardcore fans, that's an extra 48 hours to get yourself to Level 70. It's nice to see them doing what they can, given the situation. Let's just hope Blizzard's servers won't collapse from the deluge of new players. Else we might be telling them for once, "You are not prepared."
