There you have it: big blue Blizzard says opting out is a no go for the current version of the Warcraft Armory. Drooling Ent Drysc said that the Armory was placed to be a complete catalog of characters, guilds, Arena teams and other statistics.

But because the Armory is still in the beta stages, improvements could be incorporated in the future which Blizzard could permit as a public or private option. But the existence of the option would depend on the nature of the information that will be given away.

Since the launch of the Warcraft Armory, there have been many reactions, both negative and positive, about the dissemination of player information. The Armory has spurred a number of concerns about player privacy which Blizzard was quick to quell, and it also served as a comfort for some players when sizing up their statistics against potential enemies in the Arena bouts.
