Bear-form nerfs: gone a bit too far? |
Ó
Ellessar of the World of Warcraft Forums, notes that although he isn't really happy about the nerfs to Bear Form, he does feel that he can move past the nerfs. He does feel though that some concerns regarding the nerf will "rear its ugly head" soon, so he takes the time to note these concerns.
He feels that because the Bear Form isn't really beefy anymore, he thinks that it's only fair that cat form be adjusted or shapeshifting mechanics should be looked at - just so that Druids will maintain a fighting chance in PvP.
His point is that although separating the offensive and defensive capabilities of the Druid forms were necessary for PvE balance, it hurt PVP a lot.
Blizzard employee Drysc, has graced the thread, and noted his appreciation of the objective reasoning and outlook on the changes done to Bear Form. He says that their intention isn't to remove bear tanking from the game, and that they want it to continue to be a viable option and if through testing they find that the changes made aren't likable, they'll be reevaluating them.
From the tone of Drysc's subsequent posts, Blizzard seems to be deeply interested in hearing player concerns regarding appropriate alternatives to the power-loss due to the Bear Form nerf.
Some of us here at QJ are hoping that they just listen to Ellessar and modify shapeshifting mechanics. (We know, that's highly unlikely, but one can hope right?)
