A former employee claims Capcom Studio 8 (Maximo series, Final Fight: Streetwise) told GameSpot the publisher has closed its US development house Capcom Studio 8 leaving a body count of around 20 people. The news came out just after the studio finished work on the critically panned Final Fight: Streetwise. The unnamed source said there were no signs that their jobs and the studio itself were in critical condition after the Final Fight fiasco. Capcom representative would not confirm or deny the studio's closure, saying only "Capcom does not comment on day-to-day operations." If rumors are true, a third outing of the studioÂ’s more successful Maximo: Ghosts to Glory and its sequel Maximo vs. Army of Zin will most likely be permanently put to rest.
