A few months ago, you may have seen the video trailer from EA Mythic spotlighting the Swordmaster Class of the High Elves in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. You remember: "What are Swordmasters like? They're Masters of Swords!"

On a more lore-based telling of the High Elves career, Swordmasters hail from the White Tower of Hoeth. Aside from being proto-Jedis (as Paul Barnett calls them), they are warrior-scholars, able to wield blades up to seven feet long, as well as summon magic.

Swordmasters wield greatswords or longswords, as you may have guessed. They can enhance the power of the blade by calling on winds of magic. Despite the weight of their sword and armor, the Swordmaster remains fleet of feet and quick of steel.

If you find yourself face to face with a Swordmaster, you'd better keep your distance. Use long-range weapons and keep well out of range of their blades. If you cannot avoid close combat, try your best to interrupt their "dance."

Check out the pictures above for artwork on the Swordmaster class as it advances in level. We'll keep you posted on more news for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning so be sure to check back for updates.
