RangersThink you've met all the characters you're going to encounter in LOTRO: Shadows of Angmar? Well think again, 'coz even though we've already introduced you to a lot of characters (The Lynx, Old Man Willow, etc.), here's one that we're pretty sure you haven't been familiarized with yet.

Fellas, right in front of you is a Ranger. Rangers of the North are mysterious strangers often seen in Eriador or in the shadows of darkened taverns. Rumor has it that Rangers like to be alone and are indifferent to the affairs of the people of Middle-earth.

And because they remain mysterious and indifferent, it is advised that you be extremely cautious when dealing with them.

However, some facts about the Rangers have come to light already. They actually come from the noble line of the Dunedain of the North, and have, since the fall of Arnor, pledged to protect the lands of Eriador, which includes the Shire and Bree-land.

Rangers are master trackers and woodsmen, and they're also experts in hunting AND combat - both with bow and sword. But even though they rarely mingle with the citizens of Middle-earth, very few would speak ill of the Rangers because they've been protecting Eriador for centuries.
