We saw a number of new stuff in the advent of the Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar's expansion, Book 9: Shores of Evendim. The next expansion promises to be just as interesting. How do we know? Well, the official website of Codemasters and Turbine Inc.'s MMO gave a sneak peek into one feature to be included in the next content update.

How would you like to play as a... chicken? Aside from the fact of seeing the in-game world from an entirely different perspective (knee height, quite literally), players will be able to go on quests with their fowl friends. Also, players can earn new skills, accomplishments, and Destiny Points. You can go exploring and talk with the animal NPCs like the Cat Lady's cat, the (*big, bad*) wolf, and the other chickens. The quest line you finish as a chicken can get your real character a reward in terms of equipment and items. After you finish your heroic chicken quest, you can roam the land and earn Destiny Points for completing deeds.

Anyway, you can also play as a Ranger or a Troll - but that really won't be as exciting, will it? The characters you use in Session Play aren't like your monster play or normal characters since they will be reset once you leave the mode. Too bad, eh? You won't be able to make a legend out of your heroic chicken.
