Before the Storm for the World of Warcraft's coming up with this December 5, but before you download the 2.0.1 patch that's coming out that day, take heed: This new patch will render all your past Addons useless.And while this seems normal with every patch that's been launched, the 2.0.1 patch that's coming out will be an exceptional handful, as Blizzard states:
WoW 2.0 represents a major change in the UI code, and as such ALL AddOns will need to be updated before they will work, if for no other reason than the Lua 5.0 to Lua 5.1 changes. Some AddOns will be more seriously affected, and a few will have to be redesigned.
What this means is that patch 2.0.1 will change the LUA code that all current addons run on. The bad news is that some of the game's mod dudes will probably abandon their current addons, as writing a new code will be too time-consuming.
Now, for those who don't have an idea of what to do, Lady Harper suggests one of the following:
- Give up using addons altogether, play "naked" (Not like that, you hideous trolls!)
- Take a sabbatical from the game, maybe a week, to cool down.
- Check your current list of addons, and see if they already have a patch 2.0 version available. The CurseGaming and WoWInterface sites should have info on these compatible addons.

Ah damn i just had my addons all figured out. I think blizzard should try to reframe on changing the lua so much, and why anyhow?
Having to re-do my addons with every freaking patch is why I quit WoW several months ago. Third party addons add so much more to the game that the default UI just can't match. Playing without them is impossible for some classes... :(

People should just admit they have no skill... addons are not necessary to play properly WoW or even for raiding... go learn to play without cheats.

Whatever - if you'd quit WoW you wouldn't be crying about having to update your UI. Dry your eyes and wait for the updated mods like the rest of us.
well i remeber old WoW ( before even patch with bg's) and there were no mods and stuff, no1 even was thinking about mods and pplz played and did awesome stuff... WoW was... i would say more manual then it's now. TY l2play your class and WoW
Hey Mods and Addons enhance gameplay...yeah it sucks that peeps have to either give up on some or even l2use others...but hey that's game life...
As for some saying that we should l2play without cheats....GET REAL...they aren't cheats...they are tools...
You know...like a screwdriver or a hammer...and if you use the 2 together you can pound the sscrewdriver into someone's head! Even without my mods I can still waste ya!

Same thing if you're playing with addons or not. Hey the game was designed that way wasnt it. And some people made the addons so that they can make their gameplay easier. If there are some updated versions for the addons that i use then i will use them. If not ill play with no addons at all.

Damm guys, none of my add-ons are working becuz of the new gay patch. Who knows an add-on site that was updated after the patch so I can download some new add-ons. Make a link please.
