GryphonOften it has been said that in life, it doesn't matter when you achieve your destiny, what's important are the things you learn while treading your path. That is remembered. In World of Warcraft, the same applies specifically to the city of Orgrimmar.

Outside the gates, there are Goblin zeppelins waiting to provide transport. This definitely would be much faster, cheaper and easier compared to buying a bat ride from the Undercity. Aside from staying in front of the computer and waiting for the zeppelin to arrive and remain on my keyboards while in transit lest we want to miss our exit, it is much easier.

The gryphon ride takes much, much longer. However though, the chance to go away from the keyboards is hard to pass up. Not to mention the exhilarating view of the world from above. Actually, both means of transport have pros and cons. We really can't decide which one is better. What do you think?

These don't compare

The zeppelins go between Orgrimmar and the Undercity and Stranglethorn Vale. The Undercity and Stranglethorn Vale are both on a completely different continent from Orgrimmar. Since the bats and gryphons don't fly over the ocean, the zeppelins compare more accurately to the boats. Often, it's not a matter of choice between the different forms of transportation, but rather a matter of necesity. Also, the Alliance gets the added benefit of the underground tram between Stormwind and Ironforge. It is decidedly faster waiting for the next tram than it is waiting for the appropriate zeppelin to arrive. Since there is only really one route and two trams, you wait half the time (approximately) for a tram than you do for a zeppelin, which has 3 routes. Zeppelins and boats and trams don't cost money, Gryphons, Hippogryphs, Wyverns and Vampire Bats all do. But since the mounts are all rapid transit within one continent, and the vehicles are mass transit, mostly between continents, it's kind of a moot point.
