Writing on this topic right after reporting that lady who almost got mugged because of a Wii makes me feel a little weird, but here we go. Apparently you can satisfy your ultraviolent tendencies in Second Life, for a mere 0 Linden dollar thingies. Oh the wonders that happens when virtual and real economies meet.
The fact that the purchase happens while in the back of some odd alley only adds to the simulation of it all. The actual "rape" occurs in some red cobblestone dungeon. It makes us wonder though, is paid for twice simulated rape still rape? Are some people's urges so dire that watered down simulacrum of the act is considered satisfactory?
Anyway, at least now we know why they need to protect young users.
