Cyber terrorism can be done in different ways - from stealing accounts to DNS attacks. This one guy who calls himself Oracle Omega had a more innovative approach: he made micro bombs to terrorize Second Life citizens.More commonly known as the "Jessie Massacre", Randy Farmer made a script that could continuously spawn tiny "grenades" that aren't visible to the naked eye. These objects are less than an inch in diameter and very transparent, making them virtually invisible. "It would be undetectable, unstoppable, and lethal: The perfect killing machine," Farmer said.
True enough, lots of avatars died (teleported back home actually) during the attack on Jessie world. Eventually, the "Invisible Teleporting Grenades of Death" became inert but Farmer had no way of removing them. He filed a bug report stating: "Unable to select small, invisible objects."
A patch later made the tiny things transparent and Oracle Omega could finally destroy his own creations. He claims it as "one of the first legendary events of the world," but it's up to you to decide. Was it a legend or a prank?
