Tank characters are fun to play, especially when going questing or solo. They're also valuable in parties/fellowships since they're the last characters standing in a mob and they're perfect lurers or pullers. They can draw massive damage away from the other party members and they can deal heavy damage themselves.In LOTRO, the Guardian class is noted for it's ability to sustain damage. There would be two basic types: the sword and shield type, and the two handed sword type.
Guardians' heavy armor and wide array of weapons available is essential for maximum defense and attacks. Skill-wise, they are also well prepared both for adventuring alone and partying. The shield stun, overwhelm, along with the other block and parry skills available are indispensable to the tanks of LOTRO.
