Dungeons and Dragons Online: The blue dragon |
Ó
Don't let the title of this article confuse you, but just to be clear, this isn't about the U.S. bound Xbox 360 game, Blue Dragon. This is about Dungeons and Dragons Online's Blue Dragon. Crystal clear? Alrighty, onto the report. Going over DDO's website, they have posted a monster profile of The Blue Dragon - one of the most intelligent and dangerous of the dragons. In combat, this beast uses its breath weapon which is a powerful line lightning. Couple that with precision, fearsome bit and claw attacks and players are surely in deep water. This creature possesses the usual dragon qualities such as immunity to sleep and paralysis. They are also immune to electricity.
Most of the time, they could be found in arid desert areas and often use hallucination inducing spell-like abilities to punish and confuse trespassers. See, not only could they inflict serious physical damage, they could also toy with your mind.
With that said, planning to duel with a dragon a la Beowulf is extremely difficult. Aside from the fact that they are strong and intelligent adversaries, the dragonkind is very diverse - which means every dragon has different strengths and weaknesses. All we could say is prepare for the worst.
