Mauro Ceolin has put his artistic flair in a series of emblems extracted from figures, symbols and places from the videogame universe. There's no better time to create these emblems than now, when multi-player gaming gets the spotlight. When players decide to form a clan or faction, an emblem gives the identity that separates them from the rest. Wearing that emblem gives a sense of belongingness. To Ceolin, it is important to create new insignias and symbols to reflect the proliferation of new hierarchies and factions. Like every other emblem, Ceolin's designs carry secret codes that could be deciphered by the way they communicate to the group who wears them.

These emblems would come handy to the clanish nature of MMORPGs. Remember Guild Wars's Emblem-Making contest? If you do, then you'd get the idea. Check out some of Ceolin's works and see if you recognize some of the images found in videogames.
