Warhammer Online scenarios: Battle for Praag, Maw of Madness |
Ó
Empire versus Chaos battles are one of the most anticipated features in EA Mythic's Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. If you've been itching for more news on this, you might want to know that details about two new scenarios have been revealed: the Battle for Praag and Maw of Madness. The Battle for Praag is a pretty big (18 vs 18) scenario for Tier 4 Empire vs. Chaos. Open to any character from levels 23 to 40, this scenario has a "tug-of-war" mechanic where each team has to capture five locations.
Only one location is active at any single point of the match, meaning that each team will have to rush across the map and get control of the active area. The location shifts based on how long one side maintains control over the currently active location.
The Maw of Madness is a 12 against 12 battle for Tier 4 Empire vs Chaos. Much like the Battle of Prague, it is open for players leveled from 23 to 40. This scenario has players fighting to get hold of an object of power called a Murder Ball.
A member of the team who picks it up and holds on to it for a certain amount of time earns points for their team. Don't expect your opponents to sit around idle though because they will undoubtedly be on the hunt for the ball carrier. In addition, if the opposing team does manage to frag the one carrying the ball, they get awarded double the standard kill value.
The developers have also revealed a few screenshots of both scenarios. Check them out and see if this looks like something you'd like to try out.
