Warhammer Online: David talks art direction |
Ó
Given all the Orcs vs. Dwarves vs. Elves vs. Humans epics that have been popping out into the online gaming world lately, it's important to give your game that special touch to keep it distinct. With that in mind, it's equally important to keep your game's art direction on the right track, so that whether your game's crossing polygonal counts or promotional ads, people will look and say "Hey, it's Warhammer!", not "Whoa, it's W*W!"
The impeccable David Barnett's back, and on this IGN video, he'll be talking about the long, complicated, hand-gesture heavy world of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning's art-direction. This video segment will be tackling the different sort of people that David's team goes through, like Mythic's CEO Mark Jacobs. "Mark Jacobs sets a very high bar for us, then whips us like mules," as David describes their beloved boss, with liberal gesturing to go with his point. But enough of our dawdling. The video awaits.
