Warhammer Online - Image 1Looks like giving away beta slots worked its magic as Mythic Entertainment's Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning has now gathered 400,000 testers - and it's still growing.

The game isn't set to come out 'til early next year, but if the number of participants in its closed beta is any indication, then there's definitely a bright ray of sunshine smiling down on the Warhammer title, for sure.

Amazingly enough, the beta is still open for registration. So if you're interested in jumping aboard the WAR beta bandwagon, then go for it while there's still the chance. Mythic Entertainment sure isn't taking any chances with this one, as opening the beta to a huge amount of participants not only guarantees maximum exposure and promotion, but also provides the opportunity for them to guarantee a highly polished title. With more than 400,000 folks on it, there's gotta be one who'll spot something for them to fix, right?

Not Exactly

please take note.. that there aren't 400k beta participants.. there are 400k applicants. I'm doubt that everyone gets in..

True that.

The vast majority of the 400,000+ applicants do not have a beta invite yet, and may or may not ever get one. It would be interesting to know how many EA/Mythic has actually let in. Either way, it does show there's lots of interest in this title.
