Runic Games is aiming to make Torchlight as accessible to gamers as possible, so much so that they're not having subscriptions for it.This was confirmed by no less than the company's big boss, Max Schafer, in a recent sit-down interview with Charge Shot. So said Schafer, "I don't really think anyone can do [subscriptions] any more, because pretty much everyone that does subscriptions has one for WoW."
Apart from it being free-to-play, Runic also announced just the other day that the XBLA version of the game's launch made company history with it bringing in the "best sales day" ever.
So, with Torchlight on PC being FtP, and the XBLA version pulling in astounding numbers, it appears that they're all raring to have a go at the franchise sequel.
