Straight from the press wire, NCsoft has announced that Tabula Rasa has gone gold and will be launched in the US and in Europe on October 19. Pre-orders will be getting their copies three days earlier on October 16. Richard Garriott comments on the Tabula Rasa reaching gold status:

It has been a heck of a journey. The fact that we are getting ready for the final stretch towards launch feels great, but it is also just the beginning. I think we’ve managed to do something truly unique and I hope that the gaming community likes it as much as we do. Now, I am looking forward to a really fun ‘end of beta event’ for our incredible testers, and focusing development on new planets and innovations for future expansions of Tabula Rasa.

The Tabula Rasa standard edition will be priced at GB£ 29.99 or € 44.99 (US$ 61). The Limited Collector's edition will be priced at GB£ 49.99 or € 69.99 (US$ 96). Both editions will include the first month of gameplay, after which a monthly subscription fee of GB£ 8.99 or € 12.99 (US$ 18) will be in effect.

Total Waste!

I am in beta and the controls SUCK!!!! There is no mouse based movement, all WASD which is stupid. NO one would help me and I couldn't change itr. I stood around in the start zone for 20 minutes trying to run around (impossible to do so with accuracy, your movement is button based????) Very, VERY bad controls with no options for normal controls we are used to with EQ, WoW, LOTRO, Quake, or any other MMO FPS. I am sorely dissapointed, but if I can find a way to make the control like I am used to, it mght be enjoyable...rught now, this game sucks to the max becuase you can't so anything. Paparently some people are enjoying, I heard them chatting. I want to play, but am physically unable to, due to the controls.

hmm

Either you're very stupid, or you are just inexperienced with computer games. You move/turn your character by holding down the RIGHT mouse button.
