RF Online chip wars detailed |
Codemasters has broken down one of the large scale PVP events that takes place in RF Online. The Chip Wars are epic battles where players fight for control of a central mine, which grants that faction greater wealth... while they have control. Taking place 3 times a day, players can take part in these battles to try to eliminate the other factions and wrest control of the mine for themselves. The object of the battle is to capture the other teams' chips, thus eliminating them from the battle, and moving you one step closer to having control.
Inside the world of RF Online, a war has erupted on the planet Novus as three mighty factions engage in vicious battles for control of the prosperous Central Mine buried deep within the planetÂ’s core.
Every day on Novus, three mass-scale battles are fought between the Bellato Union, the Holy Alliance Cora and the Accretia Empire. The victorious faction is granted access and control of the Central Mine Core to extract precious materials, which increases both personal and Faction-wide wealth, until the next war begins.
At the beginning of each war, the three factions have a "Chip" created for them representing a factionÂ’s presence in the war. Should a factionÂ’s Chip be captured, they cannot enter the mine until the next war begins. The Chip war rages until only one faction has their Chip intact and they have captured one of the other factionÂ’s chips - or 3 hours pass with no winner.
As one faction takes control of the mine, they also take control of Holy Stone Keeper who prevents other factions from entering and killing all those who approach!
