Play World of Warcraft Offline

While in the middle of an intense World of Warcraft (WoW) battle, your DSL goes down. Now what? Rapid swearing and endless mutterings could release all that aggression inside you, but it won't bring back your connection. While some may just find other things to do, real WoW addicts resort to private servers where they can continue playing without interruptions.

Just where do they go exactly? Wowstatus.net has a long list of private servers complete with stats on location, version, language, and ratings. It also has online and offline icons to let players know the availability of the servers. Of course, you would need the "unofficial patchers" to be able to get into these servers. These patchers are not officially released by Blizzard, so you know that they came from geniuses who aren't afraid of Blizzard's wrath. If you're one of the WoW addicts who'd resort into private servers, I'm pretty sure you know where to get those patchers.

Interesting bit of news is that the longest running private server, Medalist, was taken down by Blizzard. This goes to show that the WoW private servers are closely monitored by Blizzard. So don't be surprised if some of the more prominent private servers follow suit.

none of you have a right to talk about violateing tos or laws since you priate media without a second though, people like you are the real hippocrits, willing to spout quotes from the authorities but not willing to follow them. private servers are illegal? boo-hoo. they shouldn't care if 5% of their players eventually come to play a private form, for a supposedly great game why do so many people leave it? b/c the fee is bull and there's no need for the amount they charge; look at guildwars, it's free and just as fun, and some of the private servers have gm teams that are just as good as the ones as blizzard and have MORE content than real wow. and who are you calling a loser Inq? i'm sure alot more people are impressed you spend over $100 a year to play a game when you've already bought it. "they're against the tos" what is? OH! the fact that those fat cats at blizzard aren't recieving their fees every month. congrats on POINTING OUT THE OBVIOUS,

can people who post comments give a good reason why not to play private wow, or is everyone a fanboy who has blizzards toc up their butt?

well i played for many years upto the new expansion, my account somehow got hacked guess it was when i played with a mate at a internet cafe. tryied to get my account back had the cred card and email and wow key and they said nothing they could do cause i told my password to another by selling my account. 4 years of playing and that was what i got

Some clueless idiot who probably doesn't even play WoW wrote this. Private servers are not offline, you can only play WoW offline if you have a server emulator repack
