Game sucks. Don't waste your time playing it. Due to it's easy access and low system requirements, even 6 year olds play this game. The community is horrible, and everybody is so hungry for gold it's ridiculas. Besides, if you play the game your going to want to play as a member. Which is fine, the game is huge and well worth 5$ a month, and with updates every week it's nice.



However, the community is just horrid. Don't waste your time.

I've been playing RS for about a year (mostly as a member). I love it. It's a blast. It's free to try, so GO FOR IT!

I have played this game for 2 years and I'm an adult. It's a great stress reliever. I am a member and currently am combat 118, only 8 more levels til I max out. Will I still play? Yes. They are always coming out with new quests and new skills. The storylines are entertaining and the new age restriction means that under age 13 can only play with parental permission.

Runescape is stupid. Anyone who plays it is either a retarded little 10 year old or a loser 40 year old who lives with their parents. It's full of retards who are unable of forming coherent sentences. Nevertheless, it has about 100,000 subscribers. I don't know why these idiots subscribe, with the dearth of quality updates and in contrast, the plethora of unintelligent fools who think typos are cool.



Who ever made a comment above me, you are not very intelligent. I doubt you have a social life. After all, someone who can't even spell their name correctly is socially inept. If you did spell your name right, let me apologize, because after all, what kind of normal, straight person have a name like hki? Go suck your Mom's *****, *****er.



Runescape sucks, get over it.

Well Runescape is one of those games that is ether you like it or you don't. I like runescape as it is fairly unique and if you go on members there is something for everyone....what i like is the humour that is in the game

As a kid i always dreamed of playing a game like runescape: collecting items, working on skills, standing around talking...or merchanting, going on quests, teaming up on monsters, killing other players.



Now I am an adult and I will never stop playing this game and even if I let my membership run out I can still play.



It rarely lags on my horrible dialup connection.



It has pretty good (recently updated) graphics, considering i don't have to buy any software or downlaod anything but a java applet.



It is well moderated on both forums and through in game reports and has an excellent (recently updated) chat censor, so it's pretty kid safe.



It is constantly being updated every week, the owners are making millions off the advertising and subscriptions so IT IS HARD TO GET YOUR VOICE HEARD IN THE SEA OF WHINNERS. But since a thousand people whine about every glitch as soon as it gets noticed, glitches are fixed quickly (and abuses have been punished with perminent bans)



Community, well just like real life, don't trust them if you don't know where they live. There are ingame markets and forums (the forums rock btw) full of thousands of people, 24 hours a day waiting to rip you off.



There is also a great group, called aesop, for adults to meet and there are 100s of pking groups (called "clans") that anyone can join.



I expect that in a couple of years rs3 will come out and the difference will hopfully be as great of a leap in graphics as rs2 was over rsc in 2003.



Other than the graphics this game has it all.
