New character copy system in the works for PotBS Testbed server |

If you don't feel like going through the trouble of creating a new character just to try out Pirates of the Burning Sea's Testbed server, then the developers at Flying Lab Software have devised a new way for everyone to enjoy the game's upcoming features with minimal hassle.Community Envoy Aether announced that players will eventually be able to copy their main characters on other servers into Testbed using a new character copying tool that the developers are currently working on. Players will basically be able to copy most of the information tied to their characters into the new server with some restrictions.
The character's level, inventory, money, ships, and mission progress will all be moved to Testbed. This also includes any skills and outfits their character is currently equipped with. In addition, if your character's name was already taken on Testbed, you will be given a chance to rename your character during the copying process.
There are a few things which cannot be transferred into the destination server, however. Friend and Ignore lists will be empty after the transfer, as well as any societies your character has joined. Personal unrest and contention points will also be wiped out.
Players should keep an eye out for more details regarding this neat little tool by next week. The developers are already putting the finishing touches on it and will be releasing further information regarding it once it's ready to go live.
