MMO United Football preparing for the "big league" |
Ó
Aside from Football SuperStars (currently in beta testing phase), there's another soccer-themed MMO video game out there called United Football. The latter was developed by Staggan Interactive and is currently available for free. To be quite frank, the title is not quite well known and Staggan knows this perfectly well.
That's why the developer just announced that it is looking for operators, affiliate game sites, and even portals that will help spread the word about United Football. Currently, the title has around 40,000 players worldwide and utilizes just one server so players in all parts of the globe can literally play with anyone.
According to Staggan Interactive Managing Director Martyn Hughes, they are actually a small and independent video game development studio and this is one of the reasons United Football has remained small. Hughes explained that they wanted to make sure that the game is stable and fun enough before launching it on a global scale. The director continued,
Now we are sure and ready to open the floodgates. We are looking for long term partners to help us build our player base all over the world, starting primarily with Europe. We want partners who know their player habits, their likes, dislikes and how to fire those players up.
Martyn Hughes also said that Staggan is close to signing deals with local operating partners in Brazil and other Portuguese-speaking territories.
