The elvish cloaks that gave Frodo and friends the ability to camouflage themselves through their Fellowship journeys might be a bit too bland for you taste. Dude, it's not Prada or D&G. It's made from elven material, woven in greenish-brown fabric perfect for hiding around the forests and glades. But that didn't give Codemasters reason enough not to hold their own Cloak Design Contest for LOTRO's gamers.

The contest was open to anyone with the creative eye and the talent for the arts. The goal was simply to design your own cloak that you would like to see in the game. The winners would have their designs (based on the contest's given template) uploaded into the system and would be found in the Middle-Earth MMO.

The winners of the contest are Alynwen Claevyan from Codemasters and Jox_LOA from Turbine. Respectively, here are the cloak designs of their winning entries:

They still don't look anything like Prada, but hey!, I definitely wouldn't mind being caught wearing those when I'm out shopping in Gondor. They'd also make a good tablecloth too, when you think about it. They'd match my eyes.
