MapleStory Europe celebrates Guy Fawkes Day with in-game event

If you think people wouldn't be saying "Remember, remember the fifth of November" for at least a year, then think again. Nexon has just announced that the European version of its 2D side-scrolling MMORPG MapleStory will be celebrating Guy Fawkes' Day starting this November 15 until November 29.

If you want to participate in this in-game event, all you have to do is form a party with your friends and hunt down seven secret letters hidden across the special Guy Fawkes map. After that, your party can then confront and defend Guy Fawkes himself to obtain a multitude of festive firework spoils.

Aside from that, Nexon also said that MapleStory's cash shop will be selling special Fawkes-inspired masks, accessory that sets off mini firework displays, as well as the new England flag face paint. Nexon Director of International Business Development Calvin Yoo had this to say:

Fireworks night is a fantastic time of year and now people can enjoy all the fun of Guy Fawkes for a few weeks more courtesy of MapleStory Europe. As with every special event, we've worked hard to ensure that the unique spirit of Guy Fawkes night is truly captured for everybody to enjoy.
