LOTRO pre-orders begin for North America - Image 1The wait is finally over for Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar fans in North America, as Codemasters has announced that your favorite retail chains have begun accepting pre-orders for the said MMORPG title. It can be remembered that a couple of days ago, the pre-orders were opened for fans in Europe as well.

As you all know, Codemasters is offering various membership options. The regular monthly fee is for US$ 9.99, but if you feel like you will be playing this game for a very long time, then you can choose to become a lifetime member for US$ 199.

Another option you will get when you pre-order your copy of LOTRO is that you get to participate in the Founder Program which we've discussed before. Some perks that come with the program include early access to open betas, keeping your beta character after launch, as well as having unique in-game items (Enchanted Cloak of Regeneration and Ring of Agility, for instance).

If you're not too sure if LOTRO is for you or not, don't worry as Codemasters has something especially planned for those who want to give the game a try first. You can have a preview of Middle Earth by joining the free world tour that began last April 6. Just look around, see the monsters, meet the folks and decide if you want to join in or not. Just check out the Read link below for LOTRO's official site for the free World Tour.
