Lord of the Rings Online: First anniversary promos announced |

Keeping an eye on your calendar lately? If you have, then you'll probably notice that The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar MMORPG recently celebrated its first year anniversary. As part of this special occasion, Turbine Inc. is announcing several in-game events that should tickle your fancy.
The first treat you'll be enjoying is free game access starting this Thursday, May 8, until Monday next week (May 12). Now, if you haven't been online lately, Turbine has also listed some of the new updates that you'll want to check out:
- New Region - Explore the icy reaches of Foroche
- New Quests - Over 100 new quests
- Hobby System - Feel like going fishing?
- Enhanced Monsterplay - New monster class: the Orc Defiler
- Looking For Fellowship Enhancements - Mustering Horns and UI improvements
- Customize Your Character - cosmetic clothing, traveling clothes, and barbershops
- Guardians - major updates
- Burglars - major updates
- Champions - several improvements
- New PvMP dungeon - The Delving of Frór
- Return to Angmar - completely overhauled to enhance playability and fun
Lastly, Turbine will also be launching a special drop event, where players can pick up rare items from Middle-Earth's monsters. These items can in turn be traded in for a special gift box, which will give you in-game items.
