Lord Of The Rings Online - Check Out Buckleberry Ferry |
Ó

In the Eastfarthing of the Shire runs the River Baranduin (or "Brandywine" as the Hobbit-folk call it). The river flows out from the Hills of Evendim far to the north.
When needing to cross this river, the locals use the The Bucklebury Ferry, which connects The Marish on the western banks to Buckland on the far side. Consisting of two simple wooden landings (one on each bank), a small boat runs between the two. As dark shadows rise in the East, however, the boat has gone missing. Was it pulled from the water to protect against intruders, or simply abandoned? Travelers in this land nowadays may need to find a shallow area and attempt fording the wide river, or use to the Brandywine Bridge (also known as the Bridge of Stonebows) to the north.
The design team at Turbine is taking great pains in their meticulous recreations of the familiar landmarks mentioned in Frodo's journey. Retracing the hobbits' route is sure to be a hit in Lord Of The Rings Online - and since hard-core Tolkien fans can be meticulous themselves, the designers are going to great lengths to ensure accuracy at every step along the way. Every element is designed to be as true as possible to the location and appearance as described in Tolkien's classic saga.
If nothing else, remember that this location provides an excellent opportunity to ditch those nasty Black Riders - at least temporarily.
