Lacoste hosts Second Life fashion contest |
Ó
In Second Life, or in any other MMO video game for that matter, players are encouraged to express themselves by having avatars. Since SL is closely related to real life, or it wouldn't be called Second Life after all, fashion company Lacoste decided to join in the fun and host an avatar modeling contest. Here's how it goes: starting today until May 2, residents can submit a photo and a description of their avatars at the Lacoste website. Internet users, even those not part of the virtual world, will vote for the 100 most beautiful avatars. Six avatars will then be shortlisted, three males and three females.
The winners will take part in a virtual photo shoot and divide among themselves a total of 1 million Linden dollar. Furthermore, the winning avatars' photos will be displayed on the Lacoste site and in a gallery inside Linden Lab's Second Life itself.
Voting, lastly, will commence on April 23. To e-mail your entry, and for other details, the Read link should take you to Lacoste's official page for the contest.

Im sorry but second life was horrible for me. Nothing but porn every where. Not that thats a bad thing its just something I dont want in my video games.
I'm sorry, but Jake obviously didn't take the time to look for anything BUT porn, as SL is as vast a panorama as the real world - admittedly the porn industry is thriving, but that's the internet for you - if you use search with the "Mature Content" box unchecked, you'll find a plethora of wonderful, non-porn areas that are as rich and diverse as any large city might have.
there is not only porn but i don't really into lacoste , they just make a website which is a dam
theu have no island in second life , the just making PR it's a shame
