Joymax to launch Fortress Wars update for Silkroad Online

If you've ever wondered what it would be like to do a 300-type battle with ancient China as your backdrop, then this may be your big chance: Joymax has recently announced the new Legend 2 - Fortress Wars update for Silkroad Online.

The Fortress Wars update basically pits rival guilds of up to three hundred players against each other for control of the various cities lining the famed Silkroad. Joymax has thrown various elements from both MMORPGs and real time strategy games into the mix, such as NPC troops, siege engines, guard towers and beasts to aid guilds in battle.

According to Joymax, the Fortress Wars update is the company's way of putting the "massively multiplayer part" back into Silkroad Online.  Joymax will be offering the Legend 2 - Fortress Wars update as a free download for Silkroad Online players on December 18, 2007.
