Box art of Flagship Studios' Hellgate: London MMORPG - Image 1Developer Flagship Studios has much to celebrate over as it found over one million registered accounts in Korea who joined the open beta bandwagon for Hellgate: London. It's been over three years since an MMO title using a monthly subscription business model had this much success upon introduction to the country.

Bill Roper, CEO of Flagship Studios, tipped his hat off to their Korean publishing partner Hanbitsoft for its dedication in introducing Hellgate: London to the community. The developers recognized the difference between the Asian and Western MMO gaming market, as well as the direction they plan on taking to continue its initial success.

They assured everyone that they will work hard on delivering a constant stream of updates for the game and keep up with the title's monumental achievement in the region. There's been no word so far when the game will officially go live in Korea. However, with the open beta already in full swing, it shouldn't take too long before the full version makes its way to local servers.
