Seven years. We’ve been playing World of Warcraft for seven years. If you were born the day WoW came out, you’d be in first/second grade right now. Remember that Usher song, “Yeah!”? That was the same year WoW came out. Hell, when WoW came out, there was no such thing as Activision Blizzard.

Blizzard is more than aware of how incredible it is to see such great extended success, and is looking to thank players for their dedication with some in-game goodies. This follows the tradition of previous birthdays, but this year is just a little different.

The Blizzard Celebration Package includes a few cool things, such as:

Feat of Strength Achievement
Fireworks
Visual-Only Tabard
7% Experience/Reputation Boost

Unfortunately, there’s no exclusive pet. I still have my Onyxian whelpling from the fifth anniversary, and although it didn’t seem like it at the time, the item has turned out to be somewhat rare. Is anyone out there still playing WoW? I just picked it up again to play with my sister, and it’s very much the game I remember – just easier.
