The Multiverse Network, Inc., a major network of MMOs said that they're very excited about these efforts because it's an indication of how Multiverse helps those passionate about making online ideas into real online games.

A total of six projects were shown. These were made by a wide rang of teams, including university-led groups, a professional game development studio and small team efforts. The game ideas are as follows:

1. The Synthetic Worlds Initiative: Arden - When completed, this world will feature accurate topography, music, dialogue and economic system based on the stories of William Shakespeare. Indiana University's Dr. Edward Castronova led a team of experts to construct Arden.

2. Max Gaming Technologies: Dark Horizons - Containing a player-driven economy and political system as well as a learning based skill system, this world is based on the Dark Horizons science fiction property.

3. Doomsberg Entertainment: Forgotten Legends - This world includes a skill and power-based leveling system that will enable players to improve their characters through a wide range of innovative game play, without the need to "grind."

4. Wardog Studios: Force of Arms - A futuristic mech-based which uses the award-winning Hero System role-playing system.

5. Mars Colonization Authority - Designed around the near-future exploration and colonisation of the planet Mars. It is also  aimed to teach science, technology, engineering and math to junior and high school students.

6. Georgia Institute of Technology's Emergent Game Group: Mermaids - An underwater virtual world designed by a team led by Dr. Celia Pearce.
