Fury's first month in a nutshell: better newbie training needed

Auran Games' Fury has learned a lot as a fledgling MMORPG since it went live last month. In a recent newsletter posted on its official website, the developers talk about some of the new changes they plan on implementing to improve the game as a whole.

To match up to their claim in creating the "number one PvP game in the world", the developers from Auran Games have implemented some new features to help new players get their feet wet.

Here are just some of the new changes that they plan to implement to get new players to enjoy the game:

We have introduced the Bloodbath Training Grounds where it is much easier for players to finish in the top half (although you would be surprised to see how many people finish well behind the bots)
We have reduced game sizes to speed up queues and made changes to the matchmaker to better balance teams
We beefed up the new players by giving all players 1,000 Equip points at the start including some decent armor and Rank 10 abilities (the downside is that new players are presented with an overwhelming set of abilities to learn and they still donÂ’t have the knowledge necessary to compete)

According to their statistics from the past month, players who tend to lose a lot in the PvP matches that are trademark to this MMORPG usually end up quitting the game altogether. Even journalists who gave the game bad reviews came from having poor scores in their matches.

This was the reason why Auran wanted to shift its focus into helping new players understand the basics of the game before getting down and dirty with the highly competitive PvP matches. Already, the developers are planning to implement a lot of new content this December and invites gamers to watch out for updates in the coming months.
