Stories are not the only things you can exchange in Pirates of the Burning Sea - Image 1Remember the Exchange Shop system that Pirates of the Burning Sea (PotBS) Producer Joe Ludwig mentioned about Patch 1.3? Kevin "Isildur" Maginn has told us a little more about it. It seems this new system is set to replace the old, unwieldy Delivery Mission System.

Maginn talked about the revisions to the Commendation exchange, the Marks of Victory exchange and the Citations of Conquest Exchange. Here's a partial listing of the upcoming changes to each:
  • Commendation
    • commendation types for nationals reduced from 10 to 5
    • commendations such as Heroism, the Blue Seal and Temperance removed
    • exchange shops set up for Naval Officers, Privateers and Freetraders
  • Marks of Victory
    • added the ability to buy faction with Trade Union factions for each nation
    • explosive round shots and smelling salts now available in exchange shops
    • many loot-drop books added to the exchange shops
  • Citations of Conquest
    • Citations of Conquest may be converted into Marks of Victory
    • tooltips on Citation consumable items are now more detailed and specific
    • two new consumables: a bonus loot chance increase and an xp rate increase
For Maginn, the most important thing is that Flying Lab Software now has a system to tune, adjust and tweak as it sees fit. He also touched upon many other details regarding the PotBS Exchange Shops. If you'd like more information, feel free to click on the source link below.
