If you’ve never played EVE Online but are curious about its “make your own rules, do whatever you want” gameplay, today might be a good day to give the game a look. EVE just received a major content update in the form of the Inferno expansion/patch, and CCP is celebrating by offering reduced pricing on the game until midnight tonight.

The discounts are leftovers from a promotional weekend, so there’s only a few hours left to get into the action. New players can pick up the game for $9.95—50% off the normal price. There are also what CCP is calling “great reactivation offers,” but I can’t find them anywhere so I assume you folks with lapsed accounts will have to check that out for yourselves. Oh, and if you’re a current subscriber, don’t forget to cash in your anniversary gift before the 7th.
