Codemasters Online Gaming and Turbine Inc. today sounded the official announcement of Book 9: Shores of Evendim, the first free update for The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar. For more on the update's new content, check out this previous QJ.NET article.
"The Lord of the Rings Online has taken the world by storm and we're thrilled with the community's response to the game," said Jeffrey Anderson, president and CEO of Turbine, Inc. "Shores of Evendim offers an enormous amount of content that delivers even more value to our subscribers."

The free update is just a little over a week away. Book 9: Shores of Evendim will go live on June 14.
