China's fight against online games doesn't seem to be done with just World of Warcraft.
The Ministry of Culture has just released an official order for online
game operators to add in more socialist flavors into their games.
What's more, they have to hire specialized staff to monitor the content
of the game.Said the MoC in an official statement, "Over the year, China's online game industry has grown at a rapid pace. But the current product offerings are not up to standard and the cultural content is lowbrow and having a negative effect on the healthy development of the industry."
How many of these operators will comply, and how many will lose heart over this tightening regulations of the Chinese government?
